What is Russian World?
Russian World is a Russian I and II distance learning language program produced by the Dallas Independent School District. It is designed to give students the opportunity to develop basic skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening as well as opportunities to learn about Russian culture and customs, history and traditions.
Russian World I
The goal of Russian World I is help students develop a beginning, or novice, level of proficiency in speaking, listening, reading and writing Russian. Although communication skills will be the primary focus of this language course, students also have the opportunity to learn about Russian culture, customs, history and traditions.
Russian World II
The goal is to expand and enhance skills learned in Russian World I. More attention will be given to advanced elements of grammar, expanded vocabulary and extensive speech practice. Additional study of Russian culture and history completes this intermediate Russian course.
